Last year the Sexpo saw 35, 000 inquisitive guests walk through their doors. This year organisers were preparing to welcome 45, 000 visitors. On Saturday neither the weather nor any protesters could dampen the mood or mischievous twinkle in anyone’s eye. Let the adventure begin…

Well…yes that was my first thought as I walked in and I was faced with Mount Peni. The world largest inflatable penis. The guys from Gay Travel just laughed at me.

After spending an hour doing some hardcore journalism (*giggle* I was buzzed a few times by some of the stalls sales representatives with various funny looking thingees) we decided to go chill in VIP and take in a show. (on main stage)
ZestCulture was very excited to speak to UK Pole Dancing Champion, Tracey Simmonds after seeing her perform/’wow us’ on main stage. Seems the original idea for her coming to South Africa was to act as judge for the Sexpo’s South African version of the Competition. Tracy has been teaching the techniques of pole dancing fulltime since she has won her title. And her visit to South Africa gave her the opportunity to launch her instructional DVD’s (by the looks of it, this is actually an exercise regime that this ZestCulture journalist wouldn’t mind following)

The Bell of the Ball on the day was definitely South Africa’s first ever Miss Nude SA, Bella Anderson. The twenty one year old has an enthusiasm for her work that is only matched by her zest for life.

No blushing brides in sight, but I must admit I had a blushing editor on my hands at some point. But I don’t think he is willing to let me elaborate. All and all a very interesting and informative day. Went home with lots of goodies – *big naughty grin.*

Saying that women are indecisive, is a SERIOUS understatement. Their wants and needs seem to change as often as most of the fashion in high street boutiques. And go figure…it drives guys crazy. Then there is the  silver tongued guy that always seem to know the sweet nothings to whisper in order to have the most beautiful girl in the room on his arm…and that drives you guys crazy. (Actually guys sound a bit indecisive too, come to think of it)

I just really don’t get the fact that most guys seem so utterly clueless. Yes we have looked at the whole EQ issue. And maybe the argument has some value here. But guys don’t realise how incredibly easy it actually is. If you only knew one little, but monumentally important secret…

**I must admit we do sometimes enjoy you having no idea whatsoever where you stand. Aaaah the power in fear. Ps we can smell fear like we can smell a black American Express from a Mall away. Trust me on this one**

Come closer to the screen. I am only going to say this once and not too loudly either. Its like the fine print. We don’t want the word to get out.

Anyway the big SECRET you have been waiting for. All we want is…
the Grand Gesture. Let me give you an example. I have a friend that used to have an apartment overlooking Cavendish Square. One afternoon her boyfriend at the time, gave a call on her mobile and asked her if she could see anything different out her window. She shrieked with delight when she saw a banner hung from the Cavendish parking lot, telling her and the whole world that ‘he’ loved ‘her.’ Guess who got an amazing thank you in all different types of de-lick-table ways that night.

I know this sounds a bit extreme but it is an effective example none the less. I am not suggesting you surprise her with the cliché flowers and chocolates around every corner. Yet it would be incredibly sexy for you to show up at her work or apartment with her favourite flowers for no reason at all.
I am simply suggesting that you do something amazing once. Something that will have her smitten with you. Then as maintenance, start paying attention to the gestures that women observe and respond too and then put them into practice (as in opening a car door. Whatever is ‘her’ thing) Number 1: it shows her that she is a priority to you and number 2: when she moans in front of her friends about you, she will be swiftly told off and reminder that you have proved to be “such an amazing boyfriend.” Well she was the one that couldn’t stop bragging about you. Serves her right then.

Now go forth and be amazing little beavers while I ponder the more important things in life to Origin or not to Origin.

Calling all vixens and studs. It’s the weekend baby…Yay! And for an even bigger ‘Woop woop’ for the fact that this weekend Cape Town is playing home to the bigger and sexier Sexpo at the CTICC.

There will be a plethora of stalls, workshops and shows. The ladies can go pick up some tips from the Mavericks girls(Just nod guys, just nod and smile). The more daring girls can put those skills to the test with one of the on stage competitions. All is good spirit ladies. No need to be shy. Gents, the Sexpo also gives you the opportunity to pick something up for you and your lady…for playtime

The Sexpo is running form the 14th – 17th of May. Opening hours varies. Tickets are available at the door Checking on the Sexpo Homepage it seems the show will be ‘eventful’ if Durban is anything to go by.
Im sure that Cape Town can give Sexpo a run for its money…
