‘EQ’ means having better sex
I had real interesting little read this morning. Seems the girls do in fact have one up on the boys. Pardon the bad
pun. The research in question seems to prove that Emotional intelligence helps in many aspects of adult life, as well as allows you to spell sex with a big letter ‘Oh.’ The findings have been published in The Journal of Sexual Medicine.
According to a study they have done with 2,035 female twins, it seems to suggest that there is a noteworthy link between the Emotional Intelligence of the individuals that completed the questionnaires and the frequency of orgasms they experienced during a little bit of funky DIY and/or intercourse. The eager ladies were asked questions, about their sexual behaviour and performance that were also designed to test their emotional intelligence.
Men have it easy. You don’t have to hassle with all the painful beauty stuff like high heels, GHD’s and waxing (well some of the sexy metrosexuals feel our pain in this one) Well…and then there is always the giving birth argument. Which even though an old one, it still remains quite valid.
All these hardships have cultivated a more emotionally mature sex. Men must just come to terms with the fact that we are the superior sex and quit trying to prove differently. Simone de Beauvoir eat your heart out… All in good fun ladies and gentlemen.
Read more about the study on BBC.

I’m afraid I cannot let this slight to the entire male gender go unchecked. Proponents of the “woman-are-more-emotionally-mature-than-men” school of thought need only check in with my girlfriend between the 27th and the 30th of every month. ‘Nuff said.
Hi guys & gals,
I would just like to point out that everyone seems to just accept the concept of EI or EQ off the bat. I do however suggest that one reads up before putting to much “faith” in the current versions of the concept. There are quite a lot of disputes about the validity of the current models for this idea.
I am however astounded that so many psychologists, doctors as well as psychiatrists have jumped on this bandwagon knowing full well that the scientific grounding is rather dubious. It seems like a typical fallacy along the “argumentum ad populum”-lines.
I suggest having a gander at the wikipedia entry, it will enlighten some as to the complexity as well as the variety of problems the concept is still facing. I would personally not even call this a theory yet, but rather a hypothesis.

Yes yes Steve, lets not get into details why you said that
